French Press
A classic multiple cup brew method that allows all the oils to pass into the cup and impact the body and texture.
What you'll need
- 54g Passenger Coffee
- Burr Grinder
- Gram Scale
- Timer
- Filtered Water
- Kettle
- 34 oz. French Press
- Serving Vessel
- Spoon
Brewing Instructions
Heat ~1L of filtered water to 210ºF in the kettle.
Grind 54g of coffee to a medium consistency using a burr grinder. Place the ground coffee in the French Press.
Set the French Press on a gram scale and tare it to zero.
Start the timer. Pour 750g of water evenly over the ground coffee and stir.
At the 6:00 mark, break the crust with a spoon and skim off the remaining film, discarding it into a separate bowl or trash bin.
Replace the plunger and press down gently.
Immediately pour the brewed coffee into a serving vessel.
